The Seven Years War

The Seven Years was began as a few disputes between France and England in North America.  Then the two finally declared was on each other which sparked the Seven Years Was.  Many other countries were pulled into this war such as Prussia, Saxony, Austria, Spain, Sweden, and Russia.  Frederick III, the ruler of Prussia, saw the was as an opportunity to gain more land.  As a result, he conquered Saxony, Britain and Prussia were allies, and Britain funded Prussia to help the fight on the mainland.  Between 1757 and 1760, Prussia had many successful battles but near the end saw defeat more and more.  Russia later dropped out of the war leaving Austria to fight alone.  Britain however, wanted to end the fighting entirely, so the Treaty of Paris was signed.  This treaty sent Europe back to the way it was and nothing was gained.  This war was a terrible dispute!
